          Funmi Iyanda was born in Lagos to Gabriel and Yetunde Iyanda’s family.

          Her mother was from Ijebu-Ode, while her father was from Ogbomoso.

          Her mother died when she was seven years old, and she grew up on the Lagos Mainland.
